But if I toss a few Wellness jerky treats in the back seat, Madeleine looks forward to her parking lot sojourns, and I can leave her guilt free knowing she really loves these Wellness surprises.

Now that I've found I can get them on Amazon for a lot less (my local store charges $16 for a 6 oz. bag), we can be sure Madeleine will never run out of them.

(More customer reviews)Our 12 yr old shepherd mix has been taking this for about a year.Our vet reccommended it, he thinks that dogs digest it better than pills.I wasn't sure, but figured I would try it.

Within a week I saw a difference in our dog.He was a LOT more lively.And he clearly felt better.In fact, he felt good enough that he started stealing food off the kitchen counters again.I was so happy to see that, it represented progress forward (instead of just holding steady, which was my best hope for his arthritis).

I reccommend this product to so many of my friend with dogs.It is really amazing what it can do and how well it works.Best of all, the dogs love it.I don't have to smear peanut butter on some pill and hope he'll swallow it.If you have a dog with arthritis or hip dysplasia, this is worth trying.

Jerky Gun Starter Kit with Jerky Seasonings Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this to try making venison jerky last week. It's extremely well-made and should last many years. You simply fill the tube with your meat mixture and squeeze it on to your dehydrator or drying rack like caulk. My dehydrator took forever and gave inconsistent results, so I tried the oven. The recommended 200 degrees for 2 hours will make the jerky pretty crispy, but still edible. I prefer the oven, but I may shorten the time for the next batch.

(More customer reviews)I don't think these treats quite live up to the hype on the package.Also, I judge the quality of the treat partially on how much they make our dog foam at the edges of his mouth when he runs around.My guess is, the more foam, the more salt or other nasties in the treat.These are definitely good treats but I don't think they are worth the premium price tag.Our dog likes Trader Joe's freeze dried liver treats better.

Waggin Train Chicken Jerky Tenders Dog Treats - 48oz. Bag Review

(More customer reviews)This post is in response to the death of my dog Chelsea. My dog was a healthy border collie mix. She had shown no signs of any illness until one night I come home to find her lethargic at the bottom of the stairs. She could not move or stand up. Thankfully we have a 24 hour vet nearby. She was taken immediately and given a check up and had blood work done. The blood work came back with high spikes in her liver enzymes which the vet said was due to something that she ingested. The only thing that that had been introduced to her diet recently was Waggin Train chicken jerky treats. I had been feeding them to my dog for a few months (she loved them). I immediately stopped feeding her the treats. After being off the treats for a week she had another round of blood work and her liver enzymes started to return to normal. We had 1 more round of blood scheduled in 2 weeks to make sure that her liver has returned to normal. But unfortunately Chelsea did not live that long. I woke up on the morning of May 30th to her having a Gran Mal Seizure due to high toxin levels and she died in my arms. After her death I started researching Waggin Train Jerky treats and was amazed to find the large number of people that had posted instances of illness or death of their pet and they felt very strongly that the treats contributed to the illness or death. The FDA has issued an advisory concerning the feeding of chicken jerky products from China. Based on the fact that my dog had high liver enzymes and the vet attributed it to her ingesting something toxicand the fact that her liver enzymes started to return to normal after I stopped feeding her the treats I believe that the Waggin Train chicken jerky treats that I had been feeding her contributed to her death. I am not saying that every treat or every bag is dangerous but with them coming from China you never know what was added to them in the Chinese facility. My suggestion, stay away from them and you will also stay away from a $1000.00 vet bill like I had as well as the loss of a pet. JUST BEWARE. If you have experienced similar problems pass the word around. You can also file a complaint with the FDA. My suggestion is to do your own research, just Google waggin train jerky illness. You can read comments from other pet owners and make you own decision as to whether you want to feed this brand of treat or any other that is imported from China to your pet. I am posting this in memory of my beloved Chelsea and hope that the post will help to save the life of other pets. As consumers we should be able to question the safety of a product if we feel that it has caused harm. After my first post a friend that Lives in Las Vegas said that they had given their dog these treats and their dog had bloody diarrhea so they stopped feeding their dog the treats and their dogs bowels returned to normal.

(More customer reviews)After putting up with the stove that came with our house for over 15 years we figured we had waited long enough and bought the BOSH HDS7052U Evolution 700.Ease of cleaning was mission one with us as the 1970's pea soup green :-[ stove we had was designed by men who obviously never had to clean one.It had more cracks, crevasse, holes and indentations than the Grand Canyon.A slick stainless steel top with sealed burners and an easy wipe back was a must.And having the control knobs set on the front, out of the way of potential spills, was a plus.We didn't want the oblong center burner, the banana we called it, either.It would be of little use to us and another place for food to trap.The BOSH looked to be the best one at a price under two grand.So we pulled the trigger and got the BOSH.Every once in a while you make a decision that was clearly the best one. This was one of those times for us.It's more than just a stove; it's an elegant well designed, useful piece of equipment.There are a number of food preparation tasks you can do.If you bake bread, like we do, you'll find the proofing mode indispensable.It can also be use to make yogurt.We've make beef jerky with the food dehydrator mode and the bottom warming drawer is really useful for keeping foods warm when preparing meals that contain several elements. There are four burner sizes and we use them all.And when you need to simmer something like rice, we cook a lot of rice, you just turn the knob all the way to the right until it stops and you got a perfect low flame for simmering. With our old stove it was a pain because too far and the flame would go out. The convection roasting mode is great for boneless skinless chicken breast as it will cook them without drying the meat out.I use to think that the whole oven convection cooking thing was a bit of a gimmick.Boy, was I was wrong.Foods cook faster and more even.And with the convection roasting mode this stove offers, you get heat from the back and bottom which is then circulated by the convection fan. That's true euro convection cooking.

For cleaning, there are 2 stove top grates that are a snap to remove for accessing the stainless bottom. The back is an easy wipe glass display panel. Inside the oven the bottom is removable to get right down to the burners if you need to or to bring it to the sink for cleaning.The oven lights, there are two of them, automatically come on when the door is opened.This unit has the self cleaning oven feature but we have not needed to use it just yet.We've had this stove for two months now and the only improvement I can think of is wheels for when you want to pull it away from the wall to clean behind the stove.As a contractor I've seen a lot of high end stoves over the years doing kitchen remodels, like the Viking line, but you can't beat this Bosh for the money.

(More customer reviews)I have had the DO1289 for a month and overall I am very happy with it. The toaster is gorgeous and does a great job baking. I have cooked fish and steaks and everything has turned out perfectly. The convection fan is not too loud and does its job well. In terms of toasting, the oven is not spectacular, but certainly adequate. Getting a crispy slice of toast takes about 5 minutes. Though it takes a few clicks to do anything on the toaster, the controls and knobs are straightforward and well designed.

I spent a long time analyzing and breaking down the pros and cons of the different top quality toasters so hopefully this review can save you some time. Here are the other toasters I looked at seriously :

Cuisinart TOB-195: Generally well-reviewed, but I could not get past the fact that the toaster does not have automatic shut-off. This is a key safety feature that I was unwilling to sacrifice. The DO1289 does have auto shut-off and turns off after beeping loudly 3 times. In addtion, the Cuisinart's crumb tray comes out the back, which seems totally stupid and impractical.

Krups FBC2: Looked like the perfect toaster, but again a safety feature got in the way. Apparently the Krups model has a poorly constructed door hinge and is prone to exploding. The DO1289's door is very smooth opening and seems well constructed. The Krups' quartz heating would have been nice, but still not worth it. I also suspect that the Delonghi has a little more overhead clearance than the Krups so I can roast a small chicken.

Breville Smart Oven: If it wasn't so expensive, i might have gone with this since it has every feature and is the most powerful and spacious, but $250 for a toaster is just absurd. I bought my Delonghi refurbished for $70, so it was no contest.

The Delonghi also has an oven light (which most others do not) and a permanently illuminated display-- a great feature at night for seeing the time. One other feature that doesn't get much attention but was very important to me is the Delonghi's enamel interior. This is great because, unlike toasters with nonstick interiors, I can put metal and glass dishes in the oven, as well as aluminum foil (every one of the other aforementioned ovens has a nonstick interior). Plus, I don't trust the chemicals in nonstick and I prefer not to use any nonstick products when I cook.

Based on my comparisons with other toaster ovens, I found that the Delonghi 1289 is the best designed and most practical. The Delonghi's performance is very good, though not spectacular, it has great features and, in my opinion, is the best choice for a high-end toaster oven.

UPDATE: After nearly a year owning the Delonghi DO-1289, I am still very happy with it and everything continues to work exactly as it should.
